Barry Bonds on Wednesday congratulated Alex Rodriguez to reach 600 career homers, and wished luck to the Yankees star in New York in search of home run record.
Bonds is the greatest slugger in history with 762 homers.
The former slugger posted a message on its Web site, giving Rodriguez welcomed the select club of batsmen who have added 600 home runs. Bonds hoped that Rodriguez stays healthy and focused.
"Only 163 missing you," Bonds said Rodriguez.
A-Rod connected on the day his 600th homer. Bonds said he will be attentive to what he did and try to encourage Rodriguez until he gets the mark.
