Fluminense, the current leader of the Brazilian Championship football on Saturday announced the hiring of Chelsea midfielder Deco for two seasons.
Carioca club vice-president, Alcides Antunes, confirmed the recruitment of Brazilian-born player of Portuguese origin for two years after the conclusion of "intense negotiations" with the English club said in a statement posted on the club's website.
Deco will be reunited in the Fluminense with Belletti, with whom he shared wardrobe while playing for Barcelona Spanish.
The midfielder, who has played two World Cups with the Portuguese national team, has played 594 matches and scored 108 goals in his 14 year career.
The player will be officially unveiled to the press on Monday as a new member of the team that trains Muricy Ramalho.
Fluminense leads the ranking of 'Brasilerao' with 26 points, one ahead of the Corinthians of Sao Paulo, and aims to win the battle for the league title with the arrival of Deco to the team.
