
Dominican athletes who participated in the XXI Central American and Caribbean Games and had resonant performances in different sports will receive for the harvest of gold, silver and bronze 450 000 12 million dollars of incentives from the government of President Leonel Fernandez through the Ministry of Sports led by Felipe-Jay-Payano.
Dominican Republic won the Games in Mayagüez some 133 medals including 31 gold, 37 silver and 65 bronze.
Payano announced before the event that the government would give an economic bonus of 125 thousand dollars to the winners of gold, about 100 thousand dollars to those who manage the 75 000 for silver and bronze winners.
The winners of the 31 gold medals will receive a total of three million 875 thousand pesos (125 thousand for each one), 37 silver medal about three million 700 thousand pesos (100 thousand each) and bronze, about 65 athletes, they were given four million 875 000 pesos (75 pesos each.)
