Acta Ready to Join Indians

Manny Acta

Broadview Heights, Ohio .- Before asking a question to skipper Manny Acta, an Indians ´fan began an ovation for the new leader.

The applause can be a bit premature, since Act has yet to win a game with Cleveland, as the same foreman said. "We'll see if it will hear applause in September," joked.

Although yet to be seen whether that Acta will be successful at this level and in the environment of reconstruction that now operate the Indians, has already won a number with its pleasant communication style and his knowledge of the current game. And the applause was demonstrated.

But what has been said Acta to bring optimism to the fans of a club that shared the last place in the Central Division of the American League and moved to its two biggest stars last season? First, Acta has shown an enthusiasm for the players that are rising in the organization.

A few minutes into the interview, talked about prospects as the Dominican Carlos Santana, Lonnie Chisenhall and Nick Hagadone.

Although none of them will be on the roster for Opening Day, in the future could be cornerstones of the team. "I know these guys because I was preparing me before my interview for the position. When I met them, I said: 'My decision to come to Cleveland was based on you'.

We have the opportunity to assemble a good team like we had in the '90s, "he said.
