L.A. Dodgers will play in Taiwan

MLB baseball team Los Angeles Dodgers, has excited fans with their visit to Taiwan to play three exhibition games with local teams.

The island, where baseball is king of sports and has several stars in the majors, still with the utmost care visit the Dodgers, led by manager Joe Torre.

The Taiwan visiting team has the presence of the famous slugger Manny Ramírez and Taiwanese Kuo Hung-chih and Hu Chin-lung.

The Dodgers will play their first two games in Taipei, today and tomorrow, and will travel to the southern port city of Kaohsiung, for their third meeting on Sunday.

The mayor of Taipei, Hau Lung-bin, has offered a prize of $ 20,000 local (around $ 625 dolars) to Taiwanese players who hit home runs in the games played in Taipei.

In Taipei, Eric Stults and Josh Towers will be the players from the Dodgers that starts the game, and in Kaohsiung, Taiwan will make the U.S. team Kuo Hong-chih.

The Dodgers' first visit to Taiwan was in 1993 and this time they lost two of three games with local teams.
