Diego Forlan had a goal in overtime and Atletico Madrid won the league title by beating Europe on Wednesday in the final 2-1 at Fulham.

Uruguayan striker was the architect of the first international title in 48 years by scoring both goals in the Spanish club, both with assists from argentine Sergio Aguero.

The winning goal came with 116 minutes when Aguero sent a cross from the left, Forlan ahead of his defender and the ball hit the far post. Forlan opened the scoring at 32 in combination with other Aguero, who dropped a ball on his chest and struck his left foot bitten. Fortunately for Atletico, the ball came from Uruguay, which defined only in front of goal.

The joy was short-lived red and white''to `` as the Fulham equalized five minutes later. Zoltan Gera sent a center to the pot, an Atletico player combed it back and Simon Davies defined first with a volley at the far post. The mattress''`` got their first international trophy since winning the Cup Winners Cup in 1962.

And we can say that Forlan was the key man.
