Dominican Baseball teams Leones del Escogido and Estrellas Orientales held yesterday a multi-player transaction that involved the bigleaguers Fernando Tatis and Julio Lugo.
The red team also acquired Tatis and Lugo, Joel Guzman in exchange for Alex Valdez, Argenis Reyes, Juan Diaz, and Alfredo Marte and Donell Linares.
The deal is subject to approval by the president of Major League Baseball, Dr. Leonardo Matos Berrido.
The information was sent to the media via a press release the red team.
Jesus Mejia, member of the coaching staff of Escogido, was the one who participated in the talks with the Stars for the conduct of the business, which was endorsed by Moises Alou and Junior Noboa, General Manager and Vice President of Baseball Operations, respectively.
Estrellas Orientales team was represented by its manager and his assistant Eddie Toledo, Raul Gonzalez.
