The Brazilian Leonardo Nascimento de Araujo announced today that he leaves the dock of the Italian AC Milan, where he arrived last season to replace Carlo Ancelotti, now champion with Chelsea in England's Premiere League.
He also thanked the Milan all the opportunities it has provided for "anything" as his "gratitude is infinite and unique."
The vice president of the entity 'Rossoneri', Adriano Galliani, said, for its part, regret this decision, which, as stated, has been "agreed in a climate of friendship and esteem forever."
He stressed that Milan still "has not contacted anyone" to fill the coaching job for the next season.
"It's not a decision taken a few days. We serve many more," he said.
Leonardo's appointment as coach AC Milan was held on May 31, 2009, after Ancelotti quit the post after eight years at the helm.
So far, the Brazilian had occupied a position in the club's board.
"By consensus we decided that now is the time to conclude" our relationship, Leonardo reported in a press conference in which he admitted he did not know what was "coaching."
The Brazilian said he had been "an amazing experience" but do not know "if they continue to do so (train) in the future" but added that "certainly not in the coming years."
