Bayern Won Bundesleague

Bayern Munich officially got the title of the German Bundesleague after beating Hertha Berlin 3-1 yesterday on the last day of the season.

Arjen Robben scored twice in the victory that left Bayern with five points ahead of Schalke in the final standings and gave the team its 22nd title.

Schalke ended the season with a 0-0 draw with Mainz and Bayern qualified automatically for the next Champions League.

Bayern reached the last day with three points ahead of Schalke and a large goal differential, so the title was virtually assured.

"We played the best football all season and we had a great team chemistry," said midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
