Dominican Wrestlers Won 6 Medals in Panam

The Dominican Republic was a momentous performance at the Pan American Wrestling Championships held in Monterrey, Mexico, to get six medals including one gold, two silver and four bronze.

Hansel Ramirez hander won the gold medal in 60 kg category, Greco, beating Jimmy Patrick in the final match of the competition.

While the Jose Antonio Arias left with the silver medal in the 84 kilos category, Greco, falling in the battle for the gold medal against Cuba Shorey Hernandez.

Previously, he had passed the Puerto Rican Arias Medina Betancourt and the American Sheney Isaac.

Another silver medal was the Dominican Republic Francisco Encarnación, in the 55 kg division.

On the other hand, the veteran Angelo Mota Brea was bronze medalwith distinction in the category of 54 kilos. He also won a bronze medal in Greco Ramón García García, division of 120 kilos and the other medalist was freestyle Gabriel Garcia, 60 kilos division.

Professor Antonio Acosta, president of the Dominican Federation of Wrestling, described as "highly profitable" the participation of native fighters in this event.

"Our presence in this tournament was very limited and we have a great performance," said Acosta to know the results of the performance Creole Pan American Championship Wrestling.
