The Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) and the Head of Mission reported that the Dominican delegation has suffered two casualties sensitive towards their participation in Central American and Caribbean Games Mayagüez 2010.

The separation of Polanco is because the substances tested positive for exogenous testosterone, hydrochlorothiazide and canrenone, which form part of the list of substances banned anabolic androgenic steroids.
