FIFA will not open any investigation of statements made yesterday by the Argentine coach Diego Maradona, in which he criticized Pele and the president of UEFA, French Michel Platini.

"He will not open any investigation into Mr Maradona," he said laconically, FIFA spokesman Nicolas Maingot.

Maradona Pele called "back to the museum" and Platini, whom he remembers always maintained a relationship "far", said "it is believed more than the entire world."

"I always had a distant relationship with him. Hello, bye. We know how are the French, and Platini is French and is believed more than the entire world. No ball ever gave," said Argentina coach in reference to the former French player.

In his first press conference in South Africa, Maradona also had words for Pele. No quote, referred to the Brazilian star as "a dark-haired playing with ten."

"I would ask Pele and Platini to look once the ball, which is dedicated to see if it is good or bad and stop talking nonsense I of myself," said Argentina coach yesterday.
