MANCHESTER - Alex Ferguson says he has no intentions of leaving his job as coach of Manchester United at the end of the season in the Premier League.
Several British newspapers reported recently that the helmsman of 68 years would retire after 24 years at the helm of the Red Devils, but Ferguson said on Friday he has not thought of leaving Old Trafford.
"You lie," said Ferguson. "Not true."
Ferguson initially announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2001-02 season when his team was looking for his fourth successive Premier League.
But then changed his mind and since then the Red Devils have won four titles in English football to match Liverpool's record 18.
"No plans to retire and would tell it (sporting director) David Gill and the Glazer family (team owners)," he said.
