Man changes were introduced in the Rules of the League of Professional Baseball in the Dominican Republic, approved on Tuesday by members of the Board of Directors of the entity and to govern for the "National Championship 2010-2011, 1948 Green River", in memoriam.
Among the changes cited Article 5 which deals with the ties in Regular and Semifinal Series. Previously, the playoff positions were defined by the General System Run Average.
During the tournament ahead, "all tie situations, both for the regular season to the semifinals, will be defined by the particular series between the teams involved. Not possible to define the particular set, the positions are defined by the General Run Average. "
According to Article 10, "any game of the regular series, and Final Seminifinal which was canceled before it begins, or without having completed five (5) innings, will automatically be set to take place the next business day at the same venue.
Should not there be another working day, there will be a double play to seven (7) innings each, the next time these teams meet again at the office where the suspension occurred. "
In the case of a suspended game to be continued in the next showdown between the teams, it was established that after completion of the entire match, the match scheduled in the calendar for that day will begin 30 minutes after completion of the first game. Previously the teams had 20 minutes to start the meeting date.
The new regulation is entered pursuant to Article 10, only and exclusively in cases where the meetings are suspended before the start, or without having completed five innings. The doubles games will be scheduled as long as 48 hours have elapsed from the suspension and that there is free time for rescheduling the game suspended.
The Final Series matches which have gone from four innings will be continued under the same conditions as they are suspended and with the same rosters. A Final Series game is considered defined when one of the two teams, after nine innings or more, exceeding the contrary in runs scored.
In Article 33 on security, provides that in the future "is the responsibility of the teams keep their clubhouses and dugouts free of unauthorized persons.
The team that allows the presence in its dugout or around, any unauthorized person shall be punished by a fine of 50 thousand dollars, the primrea time, and 75 thousand in case of recurrence. Previously, the fine amounted to two thousand five hundred dollars, the first time, doubling the fine for repeat offenders.
In the third paragraph of that Article provides that "the players not included in the roster will be allowed to remain in the dugout when correctly uniformed. Once the game, and until this is completed, or in the event of any conflict before, during or after the game, such players is strictly forbidden them to enter the field of play, no matter the excuse. Any player in the reserves, not active, entering the field of play shall be punished by a fine of 25 thousand dollars and suspended for the remainder of the season.
As to Article 49 Paragraph I said regarding "Improper Conduct of Managers", considered as serious misconduct "public criticism or complaints about one or more of the Partners", which "will be even more serious if it occurs form of criticism or complaints against referees or players from the stands, boxes or any other place on stage during the celebration of a party and shall be punished with immediate expulsion, temporary or permanent. "
It also created a Committee on Discipline and Ethics, Article 50 - Monitoring and control for strict compliance with Articles 48 and 49. The committee, with regard to the chains of transmission of radio and television of the respective teams, the objectivity that should at all times to observe in them and the professionalism of the chains, as well as inappropriate behavior of managers, players and referees, gambling, changing bats, etc., will be responsible for making recommendations in writing to the President of the League.
