The Boston Globe reported in Thursday's edition of a list, which reads "Who are the 20 most important members of the Red Sox organization? The Top 20 players have a wider view.

The criterion is simple: To be eligible for the list, the person must be an employee of the team. Anyone in the organization, at any level is a fair game.

But this ranking has caused an uproar among journalists and fans put to David Ortiz in the No. 16, thus being in a place that is best for Big Papi.

Unbelievers have apparently forgotten that he was instrumental in the victory of his team (Boston Red Sox) on the New York Yankees, helped his squad reach a historic return of a 0-3 best-of-seven games to win and the ALCS American League and later became the World Series and beat the St. Louis Cardinals with a 4-0 sweep, thus achieving crowned champions in 2004 for the first time since 1918.

And after being the most beloved player associated with the team after hitting .332 with 35 homers and 111 RBIs in 2007 and lead the team to another World Series title.

It is an abuse to Ortiz, is it because it was linked to the use of banned substances?

There is a reason for why condemn the "Big Papi" who despite his low production last season athlete remains a beloved by fans of the Boston franchise.
