MADRID. AP. Cristiano Ronaldo backed the victory with two goals yesterday that Real Madrid won the Xerez 3-0 in Spanish league football.
Cristiano, after a two-game suspension, was headed in a pinpoint pass from Kaka from the right flank to score in the 71st minute. In another move of both the Portuguese midfielder returned to convert a minute later with a volley center of the Brazilian player.
The defender Alvaro Arbeloa tasted his first league goal for Madrid to mark the 65th minute with a race for the right line to take a long assistance and beat Brazilian goalkeeper Renan Brito.
