The First Dominican Games in Spain began last Friday in the city of Madrid with the presence of Sports Minister Felipe Payano, the Dominican Olympic Committee president, Luis Mejia, and authorities of the Community of Madrid .
The fair will compete in twelve disciplines. The 15 teams taking part in the same are incorporated in their entirety by athletes Dominicans living in Spain.
The Games are sponsored by the Dominican Embassy, the Dominican Consulate in Madrid, the Dominican Hispanic Center, the Advisory Council of the Dominicans in Spain, the Federation of Dominicans in Spain.
The event is organized by The Dominican UD.
The opening ceremony was held at the Sports Center Canal de Isabel II in the Philippines 14th Avenue in Rio Rosas, Madrid, and started with the parade of athletes.
