The guard of the champions of the NBA, LA Lakers, Kobe Bryant, had surgery last week in his right knee in September and will be able to start the preseason, said the franchise angelina in a statement.
"We announce that Kobe Bryant recently underwent surgery on his right knee. The successful surgical procedure was performed last week, posting the franchise.
Operated in the same joint in 2003 and 2006, Bryant did this year's fifth league title in the last two in a row, when he received the distinction of Most Valuable final.
"Now Bryant is in the rehabilitation stage and is expected to be recovered before the start of the September 25 training camp for the Lakers," said the note.
Born August 23, 1978, Bryant took twelfth place among the top scorers in NBA history with 25 790.
Bryant has played 12 All-Star Game, and twice leading scorer in the league.
