The ultra distance swimmer Marcos Diaz was able to unite Europe to Africa swim through the Strait of Gibraltar in a total time of 2 hours 41 minutes beating the expectation that the team had. "It was a very special journey, not anticipated or sought a swim fast, but we maintain a very fast pace and scored one of the best brands in the Straits," Diaz said after swimming yesterday.
Diaz spoke of the good work done by the technical team and the strategies set for swimming.
"The team was managed so incredible, marked a great route and a perfect strategy, I just turned the command of the team." Coach Augusto Garcia said that there were changes in the route to be traced due to climatic conditions present in the journey.
"Although originally the swim was to take place in Morocco to Spain in the last minute had to change the source of very dense fog swim to the coast of Morocco, which forced us to leave Tarifa" said coach Augusto García , to reach Diaz.
