Dominican Republic won 4 medals

The youthful Milagros Montes de Oca achieved two silver medals, Lugelín Santos and Jose Rubiera obtained a competency each yesterday in the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Stadium scenario is Felix Sanchez of Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The athlete won the silver medal in the 100 meter hurdles, sub-20 at 15:78. Gold Loria did it Porras Ana, Costa Rica, with 14:98 and bronze Kanishque Todman, British Isles, 16:43.

While the second medal Montes de Oca was obtained in the high jump competitions, with 1.55 meters in the 17-19 year Porras Ana Loria, Costa Rica, with 1.58, won the gold and Todman Kanishque Islands British, 1.43 m bronze.

The representation of men took third day by Lugelín Santos, in the 400 meter dash with a time of 46.94. The gold was won by Omar Rondón, Venezuela, with 46.75 and the bronze to Deon Lendore of Trinidad & Tobago, 47.16.

Also, Jose Rubiera, on running the 1,000 meters with 34:06.17, provided the fourth silver. The gold was won by Diego Melchor Bautista of Mexico, 33:22.28.

After the day Saturday, the country has accumulated two gold medals, seven silver and one bronze for a total of 10, when the contest goes, this Sunday, in its conclusion.

The event begins Sunday at 8 am and will conclude just after 6 pm.

In the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Athletics Youth representing 597 athletes competing from 25 countries.

The event has the backing of the Ministry of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation.

The fair is organized by the Dominican Association of Athletics, chaired by José Rubio, who highlighted the celebration of the event and massive participation of different nations.

"We feel very good for the support given by the fraternal countries."

The event will see the promises of the sport.
